How do the two builds compare?

Shock
Taijutsu
Summary

Uses high damage Shock skills with long cooldowns, however this can change with Ark Grid

Faster uptime playstyle that builds gauge to dump damage on an identity skill

Pros
  • 3 Viable ark grids with different playstyles
  • Simple straightforward playstyle
  • Pretty decent burst
  • Majority of damage comes from T and Z which do not require gems
  • Has the ability to run a party wide stagger buff skill
Cons
  • Slow pre ark grid
  • Builds are fairly rigid without room to experiment
  • Wants good gems for cooldown and damage
  • You have to play Taijutsu :/
  • Ark grid gameplay changes are not massive

Notes

If you hate white numbers, you can run Keen Sense 2, but it will almost always be a little bit worse than Limit Break.
For high uptime fights like Mordum G3, Optimized Training is also viable for Pre Grid and on Shock Burst If you want higher uptime.

Heaven and Earth Strike

The Shock T skill. Other skill unusable as it's a Tai skill. Big damage, consumes an Orb. Can be sent in Identity for the omni directional buff to make sure you get full damage, but generates good meter if sent outside and not playing Shock Suppression (333)

Awakening

Hyper Awakening
