Ferality Wildsoul Identity

Green Ws Bars

The main meter is the center orb (Phantom Beast Energy). This meter is required for you to cast both Bear and Fox skills. You can gain back this meter by either using Phantom Beast Skills, or passively when you are in human form.

There are two other meters that are required to be managed as well. The yellow meter (Bear Energy) is gained by using bear skills or passively when you are in bear form. The blue meter (Fox Energy) is gained by using fox skills or passively when you are in fox form.

When the Bear meter is full, you unlock "Forbidden Sorcery: Ripping Bear" which is tied to the Z keybind. To use this skill, you must already be in bear form. This skill claws at the enemy and finishes with a large final slash dealing massive damage.

When the Fox meter is full, you unlock "Forbidden Sorcery: Fox Star Rainstorm" which is tied to the Z keybind. To use this skill, you must already be in bear form. This skill summons 5 orbs and launches them towards the direction you are facing dealing massive damage.

How do the two builds compare?

Notes

This build is the lesser of the two "Fox-To-Be" options. Forbidden Sorcery allows for much easier meter management without the worry of constantly over capping fox meter.

Notes

Nimble Movement is optional as a way to mitigate wasted meter on the Fox-to-Be + Strong Fox ark grid combo. Keep in mind, playing with Nimble Movement will cause you to have to manage your Phantom Beast meter more than you would have you with Ancient Strength. Ancient Strength will still be the better but can be swapped out for comfortability.

Engravings

Notes
  • Mass Increase is used because many of our skills are instant or not animation locked so you are unable to feel the effects of Mass Increase.
  • Cursed Doll can be swapped around in favor of either Hit Master or Ether Predator.

T Skill and Awakening

One-Hit Bear
One-Hit Bear

Hyper Awakening Skill (T Skill).

Classified as a Bear Skill and will contribute towards a stack of Hunter Instinct.

Awakening
Earthquake Pound
Hyper Awakening
Smack Smite

Earthquake pound has the player jump into the air, transforming into a bear and landing on the target dealing massive damage and refilling phantom beast energy back to 100%.
The Hyper Awakening, Smack Smite, functions exactly the same as Earthquake Pound.

Gem Priority

Gems are listed in order of most to least important from left to right. Grayed out icons are optional.
DMG
DMG gem 0DMG gem 1DMG gem 2DMG gem 3DMG gem 4DMG gem 5
  • The DMG gem on Forbidden Sorcery is the most important dmg gem. If ever thinking about upgrading DMG gems on Ferality, always choose to upgrade Forbidden Sorcery. (If all gems are even).
  • Pre-Ark-Grid, Fox Flame and Boulder Bear are relatively similar in overall damage%. Once you unlock the Starlight Fox Core, Fox Flame will massively out-damage Boulder Bear.
  • Fox Illusion and Fox Orb are practically the same damage and will often flip spots in damage.
  • Fox Leap will be your last DMG gem upgrade.
CDR
CDR gem 0CDR gem 1CDR gem 2CDR gem 3CDR gem 4
  • To ensure that your skills come off cooldown at relatively the same time to mitigate the waiting periods, keep Boulder Bear, Fox Flame, and Fox Leap at the same cd gem. This is not a strict requirement and can range plus or minus 1 level.

Rotation

No rotation image for this selection.
Notes
  • THIS OPENER IS ONLY POSSIBLE WITH STIMULANT.
  • At the start of the opener, Tailwind is to be used at a distance to make use of the incoming Phantom Beast Meter which will allow you to continue the end of the rotation uninterrupted. To get a feel for this, go into Trixion and practice until you can comfortably land it then move into a Guardian Raid to practice in a real scenario.
  • Once you have used the first Fox Z, you can immediately press Fox Orbs during the animation, and it will still go off and count towards filling your next meter and giving a stack of Hunter's Instinct.
  • Fox Leap and Fox Orbs can be used as the third skill for your Hunter's Instinct stack and if you immediately press Fox Z before hits on the target occur, the hits will instead transfer the would be wasted meter into the next fox meter, mitigating the amount of meter that you waste during a rotation.
  • Occasionally, you will be short on a little bit a meter before you can cast Fox Z or Bear Z, you can stay inside that form and generate meter. Using auto attacks will allow you to also generate tiny amounts of meter to get you towards the 100% meter required to use Fox Z or Bear Z.
  • After the opener, Ferality becomes a rotation-less class where you aim to manage your meter and have a priority on your skills that you want to stick to.
  • Ensure that you are rotating between Fox and Bear skills to make use of Bestial Resonance.
